Workspaces & collaboration

EasyHTA organizes your work into workspaces. A workspace holds projects and the people who can see them. This page covers switching workspaces, the roles people can hold, inviting others, and sharing analyses with your team.

Workspaces

A workspace groups projects together with the members who can access them. The workspace switcher is the pill in the app header: it shows the active workspace and lets you switch between any you belong to. You can be a part of several workspaces at once, and the active one scopes which projects you see.

Create a new workspace from the switcher with + New workspace. The number of workspaces in which you hold full access (owner or member) is limited by your plan.

Roles

Each member of a workspace holds one of three roles:

RoleCan doCannot do
OwnerEverything a member can, plus manage the workspace (rename, set its color), invite and manage members, and delete the workspace.Leave while they are the last owner; ownership must be transferred first.
MemberCreate, edit, compute, and share analyses.Invite or manage other members.
ViewerView analyses that have been shared with the workspace (read-only).Edit, compute, create, or share anything.

The invite dialog states the same split: “Members can create and edit analyses” and “Viewers can only view shared analyses”.

Inviting people

Owners invite people from Workspace settings → + Invite Member:

01

Send the invite

Enter the person’s email and choose a role: Member (full access) or Viewer (read-only).

02

They accept

The invitee sees the invitation under Workspace Invitations in the app, or follows the emailed link to a “You’ve been invited” landing page, then chooses Accept or Decline. Accepting may require signing in or creating an account at app.easyhta.com.

03

Manage pending invites

While an invite is still pending, an owner can Cancel Invite from the member list.

Sharing analyses within a workspace

Projects are private to you by default. To make one visible to the rest of the workspace, turn on Share with workspace on the project. On the Projects dashboard:

  • Mine lists the projects you created.
  • Shared lists projects that have been shared with the workspace.

Until you share a project it stays private to you, the person who created it. Other members, owners included, only see it once you turn on “Share with workspace”.

Read-only access

Some situations make a project read-only. The app shows a banner explaining which one applies:

  • Viewer role: “You are viewing this project as a workspace viewer. Ask an owner or member for edit access.”
  • Expired subscription: “Your subscription has expired. This project is read-only, reactivate to edit or run new analyses.” Reactivate at app.easyhta.com.

In a read-only state you can open and review projects, but you cannot save, autosave, run a computation, or create new projects.
